I'm a leader, helper, and ocean lover. I believe healing begins with authenticity, connection, and feeling safe enough to be fully human.

Thank you so much for being here. I know that reaching out for support or even beginning to explore the idea of therapy can feel vulnerable, and I don’t take that lightly. My hope is to create a space where people feel genuinely safe, seen, and able to show up as themselves without pressure, judgment, or expectation.
I hope this website gives you a sense of who I am — not just as a counselllor, but as a person. My approach to therapy is deeply relational, grounded, and human, and I believe the connection you feel with a therapist matters just as much as the modalities or techniques they use.
Having been born on the West Coast, I feel deeply connected to the space and place that continue to shape and ground me. The oceans and forests have long been steady points of reflection, regulation, healing, and reconnection in my own life, ultimately inspiring the vision behind Saltwater & Cedar Counselling/Psychotherapy.
Saltwater and cedar are grounding, cleansing, calming, and deeply powerful in their own ways. Both can be gentle and steady, while also fierce, resilient, and capable of weathering even the harshest conditions.
Much like healing itself, they remind us that growth doesn't happen through force or urgency, but through grounding, adaptability, and learning how to move with ourselves rather than against ourselves. A balance of softness and strength, movement and steadiness, reflection and resilience.
Part of the story behind Saltwater & Cedar is, quite literally, Cedar herself. Over the years, she's become a constant reminder that healing is not always found in seriousness or striving, but also in presence, connection, playfulness, movement, and the moments that gently bring us back to ourselves.
She reminds me daily of the importance of slowing down, remaining grounded, and allowing space for joy, softness, and curiosity. She also reminds me that healing happens in relationship - at times, we all need someone or something outside of ourselves to help steady us, encourage us forward, or gently pull us back.
Simply put, she's the best girl.
